4th of July Celebration & PRCA Rodeo
Since the 1850's folks
from all over Central Texas have been coming to Belton to celebrate
the 4th of July. This weeklong celebration features one of Texas'
Top Ten Parades, the Festival on Nolan Creek, a carnival, Texas
Ole Time Fiddlers’ Contest, Patriotic Program,
Kick-off Bar-B-Q, with the rodeo being the highlight of the celebration.
Bell County Youth Fair & Livestock Show
Founded in the 1950's this event has
grown into one of the largest county shows in Central Texas. It
is held the first week in February, and concludes with an Auction

Centex Barracudas Arena Football
The CenTex Barracudas will begin
play on April 14, 2007 inside the Bell County Expo Center. For

Central Texas State Fair
The annual Central Texas State Fair kicks off Labor Day weekend
at the Bell County Expo Center. This four-day event is packed with
entertainment and attractions including a Carnival with nightly
armband specials, double point livestock shows (Steer, Heifer,
Goat, Lamb, Pig), a petting zoo, sidewalk comedy show, military
night, professional bull riding in the air-conditioned dome, food,
commercial booths, arts and crafts, live music on the outdoor stage
and much more with something fun for the entire family to enjoy.

Christmas on the Chisholm Trail
Santa Claus arrives in the Downtown
Historic District amidst performances by children’s choral
groups, strolling carolers dressed in Victorian attire, and sidewalks
lined with food and crafts vendors. Businesses are open late, too.
It’s a time when families
can enjoy the festivities and fill a wagon full of toys for the
Santa Pal Program. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. in the downtown
area every year on the first Thursday of December.
