Cleburne State Park

Bubbling springs feed the cool, clear waters of Cedar Lake, the
centerpiece of Cleburne State Park. The reservoirs small size makes
it ideal for canoeing, paddling, boating and fishing. During winter
months rainbow trout stock the lake. Visitors also enjoy
swimming, hiking and camping in the park's shady grounds. An ideal
retreat any time from the stress of modern life.
Splash Station

The city's premier aquatic venue located at Historic Hulen Park.
The zero entry leisure pool, surrounded by lounge chairs and shaded
tree decks, highlights an interactive spray pad, spectacular water
spray features, a whirling vortex and two 120' ft winding slides.
The 8 lane, 25 yard competition pool is open year round.
Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum

You will be greeted by Indian tepees and what will soon be the
largest life-size silhouette cattle drive in the world. Also located
on the site is an old windmill, stagecoach stone pavilion and the
oldest log courthouse in Texas. Built in 1854, the courthouse has
been restored and sits at what was once Wardville, the first county
seat of Johnson County.
Railroad Heritage

Cleburne was the heart of the Santa Fe railroad for more than a
century. Visit a piece of Cleburne's historic past by visiting
Historic Steam Engine 3417 located at Hulen Park. The engine on
permanent display went on the line in 1919 and was retired in 1954.
Plans for a railroad museum are in the works.
The Layland Museum
201 S. Caddo Street, 817-645-0940
Listed in the national register of historic places, the Layland
offers a glimpse into the historic past. It has been a Cleburne
cultural attraction for more than forty years and makes it home
in a 1905 Carnegie Library building in the heart of downtown. Exhibits,
research materials, and programs support its study of regional
home and family life. Hours are 9-5 Monday-Friday, and 10-4 on
the 2nd and 4th Saturdays.

in a 1905 Carnegie Library.
