The Great Texas Mosquito Festival, Clute
"Willie Manchew," the mascot for the festival, will welcome everyone with a great big smile and will gladly pose for a picture. Visitors can experience live music, carnival, contest, games, food, arts & craft booths and BBQ cook-off. Come join in the "skeeter" fun. Location: Clute Municipal Park. Time: Thursday & Friday 5 pm - Midnight; Sat. 9 am - 1 pm. The festival is held annually the last Thursday, Friday & Saturday in July. Xtreme Hummingbird Xtravaganza
Join us to witness hundreds of migratory Ruby-throated Hummingbirds staging on the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory sanctuary. Lasting up to two weeks, hundreds of individuals stock-up on flower nectar or on feeders as they prepare for their southbound journey to the tropics. Bring your family and a camera. Annual Harvest Fun Fest
Clute's annual "Harvest Fun Fest" is a great opportunity for the kids to participate in contest and play free games for small prizes and candy. Held on the Friday before Halloween 6:00-8:30 p.m. at the Clute Municipal Park. For additional information, call 1-800-371-2971.
