The first Strawberry Festival was held in 1974 to promote the opening of the Pasadena Historical Museum.
The Pasadena Strawberry Festival offers a wide variety of activities, attractions, and entertainment ranging from "The World's Largest Strawberry Shortcake," barbecue cookoffs, and beauty pageants to continuous musical entertainment, children's games, teen activities, and the State Mud Volleyball Championship tournament. With its carnival, arts & crafts, fabulous variety of foods, animal shows, clowns, and specialty acts, the event provides a fun-filled weekend of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
This multi-cultural event draws a crowd of more than 49,000 to enjoy the strawberries, entertainment, food, activities and fun! The free continuous entertainment presented for your enjoyment offers something for everyone's taste. Proceeds from the Strawberry Festival fund scholarships for area students, library books and projects that promote and preserve the study of Texas history in our area.

- Free parking available at fairgrounds
- Credit cards or checks are not accepted for the purchase of admission tickets or coupons at the grounds.
- Pets are not allowed on fairgrounds.
- Visitors are prohibited from bringing ice chests or alcoholic beverages onto fairgrounds.
