In addition , Cedar Park offers many recreational opportunities for the whole family, including batting cages, kayaking, soccer, swimming, and even a skate park. Guests staying in the area may enjoy the Cedar Park Recreation Center, with an indoor track, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and exercise areas that may be accessed with a day pass to the center. Also nearby is the Cedar Park Driving Range, (www.cedarparkdrivingrange.com) with 18 shaded stations, 10 of which are equipped with water misting systems to help you keep cool while you practice.
Nature lovers, runners, and bikers can also soak up the natural beauty of our parks and trails. The Brushy Creek Trail is a 6.75 mile trail with extensive landscaping and scenic views. The trail lies adjacent to six parks, providing many different amenities accessible to walkers, runners and bikers. Together, the parks have a collaboration of splash pads, swimming areas, climbing rocks, fishing docks, canoeing and kayaking, skate parks, restrooms and multiple picnic and pavilion areas. A key attraction in Cedar Park is the vintage train, the Hill Country Flyer, which offers seasonal theme rides ranging from “Day out with Thomas ™” and Valentine’s Day specials, to spooky Halloween murder mystery rides, North Pole Flyer rides, and a variety of dinner shows.
