
Wings Over Houston Airshow
The 29th annual Wings Over Houston Airshow takes flight Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Ellington Airport with thrilling aerial performances, aerobatics, demonstrations and displays. A great event for the entire family!
 | | A-10 Warthog | Returning to the Airshow after a long hiatus is the undisputable #1 jet exhibition vehicle in the world, the all new FlashFire “Shockwave” Jet Truck. Also making a rare appearance is the world’s only flying B-29 Superfortress “FIFI” accompanied by the B-24 Liberator “Diamond Lil”.
The Wings Over Houston Airshow returning favorites include the always popular Tora! Tora! Tora! re-enactment of the World War II air power attack on Pearl Harbor, CAF Airpower demonstration with over 50 aircraft and other themed demonstrations such as a special 60th anniversary tribute to the Korean War. Fans will also be treated to top tier civilian performance teams by Michael Goulian Aerobatics, Younkin Airshows, with local performers Paul Fiala Barnstorming Aerobatics, and Ellington’s own Texas Flying Legends that will thrill the crowds with both smooth and fast paced daring aerobatic maneuvers.
 | | Michael Goulian Aerobatics | Returning again this year is the CAF’s Red Tail Project, an interactive theatre and display featuring the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. Other highlights of the 2013 Wings Over Houston Airshow include the “Legends & Heroes Autograph Tent”, military vehicles, interactive displays from NASA, police and fire department displays, a children’s carnival area including rock walls and exhilarating aircraft simulator rides.
