The Pecan Capital of the World

San Saba, Texas is in the Beautiful Texas Hill Country and widely known as the Pecan Capital of the World, long considered the Hill Country's hunting and fishing paradise, hosting the San Saba River, the Colorado River, and multiple springs and creeks. San Saba offers much more for the outdoor enthusiast today including golfing, bicycling, nature photography settings, RVing, or just old fashion relaxation.

The San Saba River Golf Course (18 Hole Municipal Golf Course) and RV Park (Level Sites, most shaded, some pull-thrus, 22 spaces, 50&30 amp, full hookups, climate controlled clubhouse, with cable tv, wifi, kitchen/laundry, restrooms, showers) and Joe Ragsdale RV Park in Mill Pond Park (14 spaces, bathrooms, showers, pavilion) are perfect settings to enjoy nature at it best. The San Saba Civic Center is available to rent for business meetings, wedding receptions, family reunions, quinceneras, and more.

San Saba is the birthplace of actor Tommy Lee Jones, geologist M. King Hubbert, and Aaron Behrens, front man for Austin-based music group Ghostland Observatory and San Saba was featured in the novel No Country For Old Men by Cormac McCarthy.
