The Texas Renaissance Festival is the Nation’s largest and most acclaimed Renaissance theme park where the sights, sounds, tastes and beauty of the 16th Century come alive for eight magically-themed weekends. The Festival welcomes more than 500,000 guests annually and features hundreds of costumed performers with over 200 daily performances; 350 shoppes including international food purveyors, unique artisans, merchants and craft vendors; human-powered rides; an abundance of strolling performers and the Royal Fireworks display at dusk.

The Texas Renaissance Festival opening weekend is on October 11th, 2014 and will be continue on weekends through the Thanksgiving Holiday on November 25th. Once again the festival will include eight themed weekends including Oktoberfest, All Hallows Eve and the ever popular Barbarian Invasion.  And the new camp ground expansion has been dubbed The Fields of New Market Campground by local outdoorsmen anxious to see the 100 acre addition to the already large habitat.
