Sixth Floor Museum of Dealey Plaza, Photo Credit: Dallas CVBThere are over 13 entertainment districts within a short distance of downtown, each with their own local history and flavor, offering a unique mixture of arts, culture, shopping, dining and fun: Dallas Arts District, Fair Park, Deep Ellum, Main Street, Greenville Avenue, Knox-Henderson, Uptown, West Village, West End, Oaklawn, Mockingbird Station, the Bishop Arts District and newly developed Victory Park which includes a W Hotel topped out with the 33-story ultra lounge— ghostbar®, urban residential units above street front retailers, distinctive dining, coveted boutiques and endless entertainment.

DALLAS ARTS DISTRICT
Stroll the Dallas Arts District, the largest urban arts district in the nation, and enjoy the Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, Crow Collection of Asian Art and the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. The Nasher is not only an architectural marvel in its own right, but its comprehensive collection of modern and contemporary sculpture has turned the heads of art lovers the world over. Across the street, the Crow Collection of Asian Art explores the unique methods of artistic expression from the numerous cultures of the Far East. Adjacent to the Crow Collection, the Dallas Museum of Art's permanent collection spans the globe and consistently earns praise for its fabulous roster of exhibition.

DEEP ELLUM
East of Central Expwy., between Missouri-Pacific Railroad tracks and I-30 Expwy. Located in the east corridor of Downtown Dallas, the developing warehouse district of Deep Ellum offers a selection of innovative theater, nightclubs, restaurants and retail shops.

GREENVILLE AVENUE
Stretching from LBJ Frwy. south to Downtown's Ross Ave., Greenville Avenue offers visitors an endless choice of nightlife and dining. Dance the night away to retro classics on upper Greenville or enjoy live music at one of the pubs on lower Greenville. Unique shopping opportunities abound during the day.

MAIN STREET DISTRICT
Downtown's Main Street District is enjoying a renaissance of new restaurants, bars and entertainment choices. The core of this development is a six-block area with more new selections than can be enjoyed in a series of visits.

KNOX-HENDERSON
Knox-Henderson is named for two streets that cross Central Expressway north of Downtown Dallas. This charming area has an eclectic variety of dining options including Tex-Mex, Sushi, and Mediterranean. Boutiques, unique furniture, garden, and antique shops are also featured at this quaint crossroads. Nearby Travis Walk is home to additional fine dining choices.

UPTOWN/WEST VILLAGE
To travel from downtown to Uptown, visitors can hop on the McKinney Avenue Trolley for a FREE ride. This 125-year-old neighborhood blends historic homes with new high-rise residences. Uptown boasts 40 art galleries and antique shops, 85 restaurants, four exclusive hotels, three bed and breakfasts, three performance theaters, one movie theater and four historic cemeteries. Within Uptown and along the McKinney Avenue Trolley M-Line is the new West Village entertainment area. This five yearold development, anchored by the Magnolia Theatre, features a mix of shops from home décor and clothing stores to restaurants, bars and clubs. Residential lofts overlook busy streets, giving an urban feel to the Village. Crú Wine Bar is a mustsee where patrons can sit outside and enjoy premium wines and cheeses. For a more casual option, Taco Diner offers Mexican dishes in a sleek and modern atmosphere. Cowboy Cool is a true blend of Texas, offering custom-made western wear including cowboy hats, boots and other distinctive garments. Legacy Trading Company has a collection of furniture and home accessories from around the world and is an excellent choice for unique gifts.

VICTORY PARK
The Victory project began with the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars games, and the project is expanding to include dining, shopping and living space. The 75-acre district currently includes Dallas' first W Hotel & Residences topped out with the ultra-chic ghostbar®. When complete in 2009, the newly developed district will include two five-story retail buildings with sliding LED screens for videos, additional urban residences, an urban park, office space and a light-rail connection to the Dallas Convention Center.

WEST END HISTORIC DISTRICT
Market St., Pacific Ave. and Woodall Rodgers Frwy. The West End is a multi-block area of turn-of-thecentury storefronts and warehouses that have been transformed into more than 100 shops, restaurants, and nightclubs. Vintage street lights, horse drawn surreys, outdoor concerts and festivals add to the fun and nostalgia of the area.

Shopping

Dallas is a mecca for shoppers, as it boasts more shopping centers per capita than any other U.S. city. Not only is Dallas home to the internationally recognized specialty store Neiman Marcus, it is also the site of America's oldest shopping center, Highland Park Village. From unique boutiques, to premier shopping malls and hip new shopping districts - Dallas has fashion covered. Mockingbird Station and the new Victory Park are just a few of the shopping opportunities that await you.
