Grand Prairie is home to famous Texas attractions the entire family can enjoy.

Experience the wonders of Louis Tussaud's Palace of Wax & Ripley's Believe It or Not!, two unique and entertaining museums in one convenient location. In The Palace of Wax, come face to face with figures so astonishingly lifelike their eyes seem to follow you. Ripley's Believe It or Not! has eight galleries displaying the most fascinating and bizarre oddities from all corners of the globe.

If outdoor recreation is what you seek, there are several challenging golf courses including Tangle Ridge Golf Club. The course, which has quickly become a Metroplex favorite, is ranked one of the top courses in the state. Beautiful Joe Pool Lake offers excellent fishing, water sport activities, camping, picnic sites and sandy beaches. Fishing boats, pontoon boats and jet skis are all available for rent at Lynn Creek Marina on Joe Pool Lake.

On the northwest shore of Joe Pool Lake, Lynn Creek Park covers about 784 acres, and is open daily March through October. A day-park, it offers a swimming beach, concession stand and picnic sites. Loyd Park is open 24 hours a day year round and features 221 camping sites, camping facilities, picnic areas, boat ramp and many other outdoor activities. Britton Park is on the southwest shore of the lake and is open daily March through October. The 129-acre park offers a boat ramp, parking lot and restrooms.

Traders Village features shopping on a grand scale, plus rides for the kids, arcade games, excellent festival food and colorful special events throughout the year. More than three million visitors a year come for the shopping and events such as an American Indian Pow-Wow, Bar-B-Que Cookoffs, Antique Auto Swap and a Prairie Dog Chili Cookoff.

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie and its Post Time Pavilion feature both live horse racing and via simulcast from leading tracks across the country along with a vast offering of sporting events live via satellite. The Post Time Pavilion simulcast facility offers an exciting atmosphere, complete with a Las Vegas-Style Race Book, sports bar and casual dining area. Live horse racing can be found in the Spring and Fall in Grand Prairie at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie. This premier, world-class attraction has more than 600 television monitors inside a seven-level glass enclosed, climate controlled Grandstand and a giant screen JumboTron in the infield to assure unimpeded views of the racing. GPX Skate Park and Entertainment Center is a first class competitive skate park for in-line skating, biking, skateboarding and in-line hockey. The park includes an intermediate/advanced course, beginner's course, world class vert ramp and in-line hockey rink.

NOKIA Theatre at Grand PrairieThe 6,350-seat live performance hall, NOKIA Theatre at Grand Prairie, is located just south of Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie.

NOKIA Theatre is one of the most technologically sophisticated indoor theaters in America. The venue allows it to present a wide range of shows from music concerts and Broadway shows to comedy, magic, televised events, corporate events and more.
