From antiques to zebras, Gainesville offers a rich
heritage, a colorful mix of places to see and the warmest hospitality
south of the Red River.
The 85-acre Leonard Park hosts a municipal pool, baseball
diamonds, playgrounds and a pavilion, along with the Frank Buck
Zoo, which greets 87,000 visitors per year and is the only free
zoo of its size in a 200-mile area.
From the hardiest shopper to the casual window shopper, Gainesville
offers a wide variety from quaint antique malls and sophisticated art
galleries to apparel boutiques, western wear, and Prime Outlets

and an RV park. Butterfield Stage, housed in the former 1914
Carnegie Library, provides theatrical entertainment from touring
