Go Beyond the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Cities to Visit: Paris, Texas

The "Second Largest Paris in the World" is located 110 miles northeast of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, via major state and U.S. Highways, making an ideal day or weekend getaway.

Historic downtown is flavored with unique architecture, art galleries, antique shops, restaurants, live theater performances and specialty shopping opportunities surrounding an Italian marble fountain. Other attractions include guided tours of the Sam Bell Maxey State Historical House, the Hayden Museum of American Art, the Pine Branch Daylily Farm, and our Texan-ized Eiffel Tower, complete with a cowboy hat!

Southern hospitality runs rampant as many groups choose to hold state and district meetings in the beautiful Love Civic Center, a 30,000 square foot facility. Many couples choose to marry in the city that noted commentator Paul Harvey described as "…a city where tomorrow fell in love with yesterday and, side by side, they lived happily ever after."

Officially declared "The Crape Myrtle City of Texas" by a joint resolution of the Texas House and Senate in 1997, Paris held the unofficial title since 1936. Since that time, thousands of Crape Myrtles adorn public areas and gateways to the city with delicately blooming flowers welcoming visitors during July and August.
