The Eisemann Center, Richardson

Cities to Visit: Richardson, Texas

The key to the popularity of this multi-faceted city is its location just north of Dallas. Visitors to Richardson enjoy a central location, quality accommodations, friendly atmosphere and a variety of entertainment options.

The Charles W. Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations, which includes a 1500-seat performance hall, is the perfect venue for performing arts groups, corporate meetings and special events. The Eisemann Center Presents Series, www.eisemanncenter.com, which includes professional musical, dance, comedy and theatrical events, is the most recent addition to the entertainment offerings at the Eisemann Center. As a result, Richardson enjoys an array of cultural entertainment that is virtually unsurpassed.

Special events in Richardson include award-winning festivals such as the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival, Cottonwood Art Festival and Huffhines Art Trails.

The DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) Light Rail System enables Richardson visitors to travel to and from Downtown Dallas, with all its attractions, in just a matter of minutes and all for a nominal fee.

A favorite Richardson attraction is Owens Spring Creek Farm, with its museum dating back to 1928. Miss Belle's Place, Richardson's first schoolhouse circa 1887, is also located at the farm. Richardson's extensive park system enables visitors to enjoy a natural setting or provide a diverse set of recreational activities.

With an outstanding selection of hotels in the city, great shopping within minutes in every direction, restaurants to please any palate, Richardson has something for everyone!
