Brazos Valley Worldfest

Brazos Valley Worldfest

Sample baklava from Turkey, chicken kabobs doused with a spicy peanut sauce from Indonesia, or handmade tortillas while experiencing cultures from around the world during the Brazos Valley Worldfest.

Known as one of the most popular events in Bryan and College Station, the festival celebrates international culture with a variety of crafts, cuisine, demonstrations, and performances.

The two-day festival, held in early November, offers plenty of family-friendly fun that will open your mind and please your palate.

Bring your dancing shoes and an empty stomach, because there will be plenty of music to move to and delicious food to enjoy. The opening night of the festival features a concert and dance, complete with cultural performers in full costume, at the open-air Palace Theater in Bryan. Throughout the next day, head to the Global Village in College Station’s Wolf Pen Creek to learn how to craft a tasty dish at the International Kitchen Cooking Demonstrations. While you’re in the Global Village, don’t miss a performance by Las Rebeldes de Houston, a Latin horse riding group, or the Turkish and Salsa dancers that will be performing on the festival’s three stages.

For something to eat or drink, or to shop for a one-of-a-kind item from the other side of the world, browse the crafts, imports, and food vendor stalls in the Global Marketplace. If you have youngsters with you, take them to The Kids’ Village. Here, your kiddos can experience other cultures through an array of activities. Get creative at the arts and crafts pavilion, check out the shows at the community stage, and try your hand at some of the international games. There will also be bounce houses and the Franklin Drive-Thru Safari Petting Zoo.

Experience the cuisine, music, and traditions of cultures from around the world all without ever having to leave the Lone Star State, when you go to the Brazos Valley Worldfest. Make sure to check out the Brazos Valley Worldfest’s website for the most up-to-date information about festival dates, schedule, and activities.
