USING FORT STOCKTON
as a base of operations, the visitor finds
the exciting prospect of numerous day trips
to explore this fabulous area of West Texas.
Around you lies the rugged grandeur of
the Big Bend Country, the storied Davis
Mountains, Fort Davis National Historic
site, the awesome Carlsbad Caverns and
the spectacular Guadalupe National Park.
At the end of each glorious day, the visitor
can find a comfortable night's rest in
one of the 16 modern motels or 8 R.V. Parks.
Those not familiar with our area may be
awed by the mileage. Visitors should keep
in mind that the highways are well maintained;
traffic is minimal and there are beautiful
picnic areas and historical markers waiting
to be discovered.
