McKinney: 2nd Annual Dinosaurs Alive! at the Heard
Museum. It's time to get excited about dinosaurs. Life-size animatronic
dinosaurs at the Heard features fourteen dinosaurs including twelve life-size
animatronic dinosaurs and two static baby dinosaurs that kids can play on.
The exhibit gives families and friends a unique, exciting and educational
activity to experience together and provides an ideal family outing during
the holidays. Get the chance to learn interesting dinosaur facts as you
not only see them, but hear them, too. A dinosaur-themed indoor exhibit
will compliment the outdoor exhibit, and dinosaur toys, books, figurines,
shirts and other items will be available in the museum store. Visitors will
also get the chance to experience a new Heard nature trail. The dinosaurs
will be situated along a ½ mile trail that features prairie habitat
and has fewer steps and slopes than the other trails, making it more jogging
stroller and elderly-friendly. Time: Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm. Cost:
Adults $8, Seniors, Children $5. Location: The Heard Museum, Exit 38A off

popular event attracts nearly one million people from around the world to
the Will Rogers Memorial Center for the nation's oldest livestock show and
daily performances of the world's original indoor rodeo. Grounds open daily

Winter Games of Texas. The Winter Games of Texas is a sports
festival created for Texas amateur athletes. Patterned after the Olympic
Games and the US Olympic Sports Festivals, the Winter Games of Texas provides
a forum for competition among Texas' Olympic hopefuls and recreational
activities. 10-12 sports are featured each year and include a Celebration

Gras Celebration. The event begins with a parade including
40+ decorative floats competing for a $1,000 prize. The parade ends at
Lake Dallas City Hall with a New Orleans style party, great Cajun food,
a kidzone complete with balloon sculpting, giant inflatable obstacle course

Vintage Wine Trail. Ride the rails and explore the Grapevine
Wine Trail. Begin this festive weekend with a ride on the Grapevine Vintage
Railroad's Jazz Wine Train on Friday evening. The train rocks to a swinging
beat as it departs the Grapevine Cotton Belt Depot, 705 S. Main. Train
boards at 6:40pm with a 7pm departure. Enjoy food and music - as well
as Grapevine wine - on the round trip adventure. Experience one of the
most unique ceremonies in Texas on Saturday, with the "Blessing the
