This historic archeological site of Major Abner Jackson, the namesake of the city of Lake Jackson, was a prosperous sugar plantation until it was destroyed by the hurricane of 1900. Discover the sugar making process of the 1840's and how convict labor replaced slave labor during the 1870s.
