Jasper is the official Butterfly Capital of Texas! Each October we celebrate Monarch butterfly migration through East Texas at the Butterfly House and gardens at the Jasper Arboretum on Sandy Creek. This event features Monarch butterfly releases and education, free kids activities and garden tours all day. Tour the Arboretum Garden, purchase a variety of plants from Jasper Master Gardeners then ride the Butterfly Express shuttle to the 41st Annual Fall Festival on Jasper County Courthouse Square.
