A Premier Christmas Shopping Event Benefiting the Sophienburg Museum & Archives since 1988 Weihnachtsmarkt (Vy-noks-markt) is the largest fundraiser for the Sophienburg Museum & Archives, furthering our mission of Creating Connections and Enriching Lives through the Power of History. All proceeds go to support museum operations and educational programming. Our fundraising goal for the year is $200,000. Enjoy an exclusive Christmas shopping experience at Weihnachtsmarkt, a German-style Christmas Market with a Texas Twist. Held in the New Braunfels Civic Center with authentic German collectibles and ornaments, unique decorations, specialty items, fabulous gifts, apparel and antiques.
