The race usually takes place every year during the celebration of Texas's Independence. This year the dates are changed due to the Coronavirus. The races are a unique Western event you don't want to miss. Come early, bring your horses, mules and wagons and enjoy the many activities or just set back and watch. Activities include trail rides, dutch oven cook'n classes, cowboy poetry, herd dog and whip demonstrations, horse auction, barn dances, live music, cowboy church and much more!
