Mr. Amigo Association is hosting its annual fundraiser event, Taste of la Frontera, which features regional cuisine from restaurants on the border, music, beverages, and entertainment on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Brownsville Event Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are on sale for $25 at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/taste-of-la-frontera-2019-tickets-52846330798?aff=ebdssbdestsearch Tickets are on sale at The Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau, Trevi Drive Thru, Mi Pueblito, El Ultimo Taco Taqueria, or from any Mr. Amigo board member. The day of event tickets will be on sale for $35 at the door starting at 5 p.m. The Mr. Amigo Association works to promote relations between the United States and Mexico and highlight the way of life between Brownsville and Matamoros. Past Mr. Amigo Association honorees include many prominent artists from México which include Eduardo Yanez, Juan Gabriel, Arath De La Torre, Lucero, Vicente Fernandez and many more.
