National Train Day

The City of Temple’s National Train Day is an annual event celebrating the anniversary of the driving of the golden spike in Promontory, Utah, marking the completion of the first transcontinental railroad in the United States. Inside activities: • Goodie bag given upon entry (limited to children 13 and under) • Receive a “train yard guide” to get stamped (limited to children 13 and under) • Pick up a take-home craft (limited to children 13 and under) • View various exhibits, including a Lego scene • Drawing for a toy filled suitcase at Noon, 1, and 2 Outside activities: • Caricature artists • Balloon artists • Temporary tattoos • Photo booth • Various photo opportunities along the Santa Fe Market Trail • Live music on the plaza • Live painting at various locations around the museum • Variety of vendors • No Barrel train or Speeder Cars
