Book signing & reception with Oscar Cásares, author of "Where We Come From"

Oscar Cásares, the acclaimed author of Brownsville and Amigoland, debuts a new novel about a Mexican American family in Brownsville, Texas, who reluctantly become involved in smuggling immigrants into the United States.  Mr. Cásares is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and teaches creative writing at the University of Texas in Austin, where he lives.  His book will be available for purchase at our gift shops.
