Barney Cashman is a married, middle-aged man going through a mid-life crisis. He wants to be something more than just a "nice" guy so he sets out to experience his secret fantasies and dreams, at least once, by attempting to have an affair. In his quest, he crosses paths with three different women whom he attempts to seduce, with comedic results. Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers examines growing older and asks "What do you do when it seems like you haven't fully lived your life?"
