Roll up your sleeves for some interactive fun at the HEB Science Center, a hands-on exhibit that offers lessons about chemistry, cells, DNA, math, physics, engineering, paleontology, particles, and space. There is also a planetarium and an outdoor picnic area and playground with giant musical instruments in the Music Garden. See life-size dinosaurs and discover plant and animal fossils at the paleontology exhibit, then try to uncover your own fossils at the dino dig. You can also learn the proper methods of xeriscaping and coastal ecology.  Don’t miss the gems, minerals, and meteorites in the Hall of Earth Science. Discover a World of History

Step back in time at Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History’s Shipwrecked. Marvel at the recovered artifacts from Spanish ships San Esteban and Espiritu Santo, wrecked off Padre Island in 1554, the oldest excavated shipwreck in the Western hemisphere. Then browse the Smithsonian exhibit Seeds of Change, which outlines the history of the Columbian Encounter and how things like sugar, corn, potatoes, horses, and diseases transferred from one continent to another. Learn about local history, including the birth of a favorite Texas burger joint, Whataburger. Finally, enjoy a rare glimpse of historic Corpus Christi through the artistic lens of the legendary Doc McGregor in the McGregor Gallery.
