The Buffalo Soldiers National Museum in Houston is dedicated to preserving the legacy and honor of African-American soldiers in the United States. The museum’s exhibits, events, educational programs, and art creates an interactive and engaging environment for visitors. Experience a complete look at African-American military history from 1770 to 2000, from the American Revolutionary War through the Persian Gulf War.

This Buffalo Soldier museum is a member of the Houston Museum District, within walking distance of several other museums in Houston.

Monday - Friday: 10 AM – 5 PM

Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM

Closed on:  Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and New Year’s

Buffalo Soldiers National Museum Admission Prices:

Free admission on Thursday: 1 – 5 PM

Adults: $10

Students: $5

Seniors (60+): $5

Military: $5

Children (5 years old and under): Free
