The Annual Ballunar Liftoff Festival
Right across the street from Nassau Bay is the Johnson Space Center where over 100 hot air balloons delight crowds launching and flying over NASA's Rocket Park. The balloons put on a spectacular show, especially the first night with "Ballunar Glow" filling the sky with hot air balloons of unusual colors, shapes and lights.
Wings Over Houston Airshow
The annual Wings Over Houston Airshow Festival, every fall at Ellington Field, delights thousands of attendees with spectacular aerial performances. The Airshow features one of the largest displays of vintage World War II Warbirds, precision formation flights, aerobatic acts, modern military aircraft and Tora! Tora! Tora!, an explosive reenactment of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Nassau Bay is part of a complex of waterways and intimate coves that lead into Galveston Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Marinas and miles of Nassau Bay shoreline offer some of the best sailing and boating facilities in the Gulf.
The Clear Lake region is the third largest boating center in the United States, with over 7,700 boat slips available. Numerous yacht clubs serve the area along with public piers and ramps.
