The Texas Crab Festival got its start in 1985, when a few of the Local Business folks were looking for a way to promote business and tourism in Crystal Beach.

What began with a few hundred people in April 1985, currently boasts thousands annually on Mother's Day Weekend for three days of Fun...Sun...and...

CRABS, CRABS, CRABS!

Visit the Texas Crab Festival and enjoy what many have discovered, continuous live music and entertainment, food, craft and artist booths, carnival rides and games: kids activities like the “Little Crabbies” and tastiest crab and seafood dishes on the Texas Gulf Coast. You can enter our Crab Legs Contest or pick out a crab and try your luck at the Crab Races. Cheer for your favorite Dachshund in our Texas Crab Festival Wiener Dog Nationals.
