Brazos Valley Worldfest Activities

Held in Bryan and College Station for two days in early November, the festival is a once-a-year opportunity to experience different cultures through cuisine and a variety of demonstrations and performances.

Visit the Global Village

Learn about traditions of other countries, see photos and costumes, and check out the cultural displays at the Global Village. Demonstrations from performers, like a Turkish art expert creating an Ebru painting, a method that involves painting on water and transferring it to paper. Pick up a new skill like how to play a traditional Indonesian musical instrument. The Las Rebeldes de Houston Latin horse-riding group well-known for their amazing talent on horseback and beautiful costumes, are often at the festival as well.

Shop and Dine in the Global Marketplace

The Global Marketplace is full of goods imported from around the world, providing a rare opportunity to get a jumpstart on your holiday gift shopping. Vendors will be selling eaverything from handcrafted pieces of jewelry, art, clothing, and other unique items not readily found elsewhere. You can also try a variety of international cuisines from Asia and Latin America, a culinary palate-pleasing journey across the world.

Play in the Kid’s Village

The Kid’s Village packs a lot of fun for children into the Brazos Valley Worldfest, with activities like international games, an arts and crafts pavilion, a bounce house, and the Franklin Drive-Thru Safari Petting Zoo. There’s typically exotic animals from around all across the globe, face painting, and train rides. The three entertainment stages feature performances that showcase different cultures. In the past, performances have included impressive shows like flamenco dancers, Japanese drummers, and Native American storytellers.
