January  

Blue Hole Polar Bear Plunge and Fun Run 
Cold? What cold? Plunge into your New Year’s resolutions with both feet at the Blue Hole Polar Bear Plunge and Fun Run held every New Year’s Day. The fun starts mid-morning (plenty of time to sleep in!) with 5K and 1K runs, followed by a plunge into beautiful Cypress Creek. End the afternoon by warming up around the fire pit at this lively kickoff to a fresh, new year.

Wimberley Market Days  
The Hill Country’s largest outdoor market, Wimberley Market Days kicks off in March and continues every first Saturday through December. Stroll through 490 booths situated on 20 acres of shaded oak trees. Take your time perusing everything from boots and hats to jewelry and antiques, then return next month and do it again! Live music and tasty food are also a part of the action.

Wimberley Arts Fest  
Nestled along the banks of the Blanco River and Cypress Creek, the renowned Wimberley Arts Fest features dozens of artists in one beautiful location. Explore booths featuring original works, including painting, photography, jewelry, fiber art, glass, ceramics, and more. Live music and tasty Texas cuisine from local food trucks round out this always inspiring event.

Wimberley Pie Social 
Apple, blueberry, or coconut cream? Sink your teeth into homemade pies of all sorts at this annual spring event dedicated to that beloved all-American dessert. The homespun gathering includes a best pie contest, winning pie auction, pie eating contest, and live music. Is your mouth watering?

EmilyAnn Butterfly Festival  
Release a butterfly, enjoy some pickleball, hula hoops, and butterfly and caterpillar-inspired art at this heartwarming arts festival and remembrance celebration at The EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens. The springtime, kid friendly event also includes chalk art, train rides, and an acting tent for budding thespians.

July  
Wimberley Fourth of July Parade  
Put on your red, white and blue, grab a lawn chair, and get ready for old fashioned family fun. The annual Wimberley 4th of July Parade rolls down Ranch Road 12 beginning at 10:00 am with a variety of decked out cars, floats, and zany participants all headed for the festive final stop in downtown Wimberley.

Fourth of July VFW Rodeo 
One of the largest rodeos in Texas, the annual VFW Post 6441 Rodeo takes place over three consecutive days during the 4th of July holiday. Catch some of the region’s most accomplished riders along with nightly events including the Lone Star Cowgirls and precision riders dressed in sparkly red, white, and blue. Fireworks take place every night at the close of the rodeo.

October 

Boo! Hole Halloween  
See Wimberley’s popular Blue Hole Regional Park transformed by friendly thrills and chills. Costume-clad kiddos will love trick-or-treating, carnival games, haunted hayride, costume contest, and a special viewing of the classic Halloween film, Hocus Pocus. Enjoy food trucks, a marshmallow roast, and a photo booth.

December  

EmilyAnn Trail of Lights  
There’s nothing like a festive stroll through a trail of lights to spark your holiday spirit! Throughout December, the multi-purpose EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens hosts an 8-acre trail of illuminated displays. Enjoy live entertainment on select evenings, along with free hot chocolate, gooey marshmallows, and chats with Santa. This month of merriment includes Chocolate Night, a round-up of local vendors selling everyone’s favorite tasty treat.

Winter’s Eve
