Kleb Woods Nature Preserve
Hiking, bird watching, and a bit of local history is there to be experienced at Kleb Woods Nature Preserve. The park was once owned by descendants of Conrad Kleb, a German immigrant who settled the area in the 1840’s. It was a farm until 1933, when then-owner Elmer Kleb let the land go back to nature. The Kleb family’s home, guest home, and 1901-built barn still stand and can be seen during a visit to the preserve.
