Tomball German Festival

Tomball German Fest began with one Oompah band on a flat-bed trailer twenty years ago, and the festival has become an annual tradition in Tomball and one of the best music/street festivals in Texas. Festival-goers break out their Lederhosen and Dirndls, and “Go German” for the area’s largest festival celebrating the heritage of the original German families that settled in the area beginning in 1840. In other words, in the case of German heritage, there is much to celebrate in this part of Texas!

The Tomball German Heritage Festival is held twice a year in March and December and is located on the old downtown streets of Tomball, TX. It is a music/street festival celebrating German and ethnic heritage with 4 stages of live performances, carol singers, special contests, ethnic and festival food, beer, and wine. The streets are lined with street vendors offering all kinds of German souvenirs, clothing, arts, crafts, antiques, and more. The December festival invites festival-goers to enjoy an outdoor Christmas Market alongside the traditional German Heritage Festival that annual visitors know and love.
