Bailey's Berry Patch is located between Sherman and Gainesville - 12 miles south of the Oklahoma border and is easily accessible from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area as well as all of Southern Oklahoma. The Berry Patch consists of 6 acres of blueberries and 3 acres of blackberries. Visitors can pick their own fruit, have a picnic lunch and come with friends and family to spend a few hours in the country. There are picnic tables under the oak trees and fish food is available for the children to feed the catfish in the pond.
Berry season only lasts from June through sometime mid-July, so don't delay - get your hankering satisfied right away!

Eisenhower State Park - 50 Park Road 20
Eisenhower State Park, with 423.1 acres, is located in Grayson County, northwest of Denison on the shores of Lake Texoma.
The park has plenty of trees to provide shade during the summer. It is situated on rocky bluffs above the lake. Full hook-ups are provided for RVers. There is a hiking trail that winds along the rolling hills of the park. The trails are not paved so be careful when hiking. A large protected cove provides a nice place to swim.
The park has campsites with water only, campsites with water and electricity, pull-through campsites with water, sewer, and electricity, and screened shelters. The park also has a campground pavilion, trailer dump stations, a launching ramp for boats, and for those lucky enough to need one, a fish-cleaning facility.

Perrin Air Force Base Museum - 4575 Airport Drive

Perrin Air Force Base that was located in Grayson County Texas. The purpose of the society is to research, record and preserve the history of Perrin Field during the 30 years that it existed.
Memorabilia including many old photographs have been donated and are on display at two locations. Some artifacts are still in the lobby of the Grayson County Airport terminal building at 4700 Airport Drive, between the fire station and control tower, and in room 112 at the Silver Wings Building, at 178 Dinn Street, on the right just before entering the Grayson County College golf course.
Perrin Air Force Base Museum hours are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. For groups, schools, organizations and/or week end tours of a dozen or more, call: John Elkins (903) 893-6400, James Farris (903) 893-0376, B.J. Perrin Air Force Base Museum is located at 4575 Airport Drive, just one half block northeast of the airport terminal and aircraft control tower at Grayson County-Perrin Airport. No admission fee. Donations are invited to defray cost of utilities. Public is invited.

Gainesville's Frank Buck Zoo
Located a quick half-hour west of Sherman, the Frank Buck Zoo is well worth the short drive.
Born from the proud heritage of the Gainesville Community Circus, the Frank Buck Zoo was named in 1950 in honor of the father of modern era zoos, Frank "Bring 'Em Back Alive" Buck.
