Texas Energy Museum
This museum’s exhibits are designed to thrill, educate and enlighten all ages. See cinematic robots depict three generations of an oil-field family. Historical characters share the captivating story of the Spindletop gusher that blew in and began the
petrochemical age in 1901. Don’t miss “Unlocking the Energy of Oil,” the definitive exhibit on the Texas oil industry.

Big Thicket National Preserve & Botanical Gardens
Naturally inviting, Beaumont is the gateway to the Big Thicket National Preserve where you can glide through the waters of Village Creek, hike the trails through the Piney Woods, or enjoy the sights and sounds of countless bird species. Neches River Adventures offers a relaxing and fascinating two-hour boat tour onboard The Cardinal that departs from Riverfront Park in downtown Beaumont. Beaumont Botanical Gardens at Tyrrell Park, & Shangri La Botanical Gardens & Nature Center are two places to explore for a showcase of blooms bursting with fragrance and color.

Art Museum of Southeast Texas
Explore the collection of paintings, sculptures, prints and photographs as well as folk and decorative arts of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. The museum has an emphasis on American art, with a growing collection of regional folk art.

Historic Home Tours
See the beautiful, historic McFaddin-Ward House, a stately 1906 mansion in the Beaux-Arts Colonial style. Just down the street, the Chambers House Museum offers a fascinating glimpse of a middle class family living in the 20th Century.
