Heritage Syrup Festival - Held 2nd Saturday in November. Festival began in 1989. This festival is the only folk life festival in
East Texas. Mule powered equipment used to produce sugar cane syrup. Activities on the 5 acre Depot Museum grounds include: syrup making, folk artists, dulcimer music, petting zoo and story telling. Hayride shuttle to historic downtown. Downtown activities include: 300 vendors including arts & crafts, retail, commercial and food; classic & antique cars, children's section, cloggers, square dancers, musical entertainment, melodrama and chili cook-off.

East Texas Antique Tractor & Engine Tractor Show - Held third Friday & Saturday in April. Located at the Rusk County Expo Center. Show includes: Tractor display, tractor games, tractor pull, tractor parade and much more. Contact information: 903.693.6315 or 903.889.2671

Sacred Harp Singing National Convention - This two day event is always the weekend of the second Sunday in August. It is a Saturday/ Sunday event. This convention started in Henderson in 1855. Contact information 903-863-5376.
