Gruene Cottages

Situated on three acres only six blocks from legendary Gruene Hall and the iconic Gruene water tower, Gruene Cottages reflect the true Texas spirit of hospitality.  Each of the 11 units is individually decorated and 10 are constructed of Texas limestone.  The Fachwerk Haus (#11) is an original German structure, made of handmade brick, cedar posts, and wide plank floors.

Seven of the units have kitchens and all units have refrigerators and microwave ovens.  Sizes range from a single bedroom and bath to two bedroom/two bath cottages. All are completely and comfortably furnished for cooking, sleeping and living.

Pecan, live oak, red oak, and redbud trees create shaded gathering areas to complement the open feel of the lawns.  To refresh after a busy day, families and groups gather at the swimming pool and deck to celebrate the easy rhythm and casual grace of Gruene. And the Waldrip Haus, a meeting room for business groups and family reunions, is often the site of fun, family, and friends.
