Audie Murphy Day

This annual event celebrates the life of Audie Murphy, most decorated combat soldier of WWII. One of the highlights this year will be a one man performance of Audie Murphy by actor Duffy Hudson. In addition to starring in Tattered Angel, Canvas the Night, Skin Complex and The Greater Good he has also acted in many plays both on and off Broadway. Duffy has also directed over 300 theatrical pieces including The Three Sisters with Jessica Lange, Don Johnson and Tatum O’Neal and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf with Marlo Thomas Saturday morning's activities will take place at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center at 5501 Hwy 69 South and the afternoon and evening events will take place at the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum.
