Collin Theatre Center presents two one-act plays by Dallas playwright Bruce R. Coleman in the intimate Black Box Theatre. Both plays were originally produced by Uptown Players in Dallas. Asher Texas ’82 is a new one-act drama where four teens from a small Texas town, confronted by a violent act of bullying, must choose to stay as they are, or change forever. Boomer Tyro is Coming Home is the story of a movie star of the 1950s who comes home to Galveston and has to decide whether to be honest about being gay, which could be career suicide, or to pretend to be straight. This play contains adult content and situations. Runs select days November 30 through December 10 at Collin Theatre Center in Plano.
