Pittsburg’s Tri-County Independence Day Blast (Fireworks!)

This year’s Independence Day Blast will once again be held at Broach Park (Loop 179 in Pittsburg, TX). The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will end at dusk with a spectacular fireworks show. This year will feature activities for the kiddos beginning at 6:30 p.m. New this year – a Red, White and Blue Children’s Parade. Children are encouraged to decorate themselves and their bicycles, tri-cycles, wagons, etc. and participate in this Patriotic Parade. The parade will begin at the playground at Broach Park. Any children interested in participating can begin to make their way to the playground at 6:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. Participants will make their way around a portion of the walking trail. This year’s Parachute Bingo Jump will take place at approximately 8:15 p.m. We are thrilled to announce that this year, if all of the bingo tickets are sold, Pittsburg’s Mayor Shawn Kennington will jump to determine this year’s winner. The winner of Parachute Bingo will win $1,000. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. You do not need to be present to win.
