Each Fall, over a hundred local businessmen and women step out of their offices and sally up to the grill. Collars loosened, aprons tightened, they are ready to smoke it out for the title Best BBQ of the Basin. Competitors bring their own equipment, ranging from modest smokers to full mobile-kitchens, and set up side-by-side. Teams (most from companies outside the food industry) compete in one or more of the following categories: Best Chicken, Best Ribs, Best Brisket, and Best “Other” Meat.
