Brownsville’s first week-long celebration of local icons, talent, and resistance in fashion. Eight runway shows will feature the emerging talent from the Rio Grande Valley in the fashion industry including; designers, models, and stylists. This inaugural year’s theme is THE START, as the event will serve both as a tribute to the origins of our city’s fashion and arts scene and as a welcome to its new era as an ever-evolving, one-of-a-kind force of expression, resilience, dissent, and joy from a proudly binational community. Tentative locations include: Alice Hope Park; Brownsville City Hall; United States Postal Office; La Plaza Parking Garage; Harry E. McNair Park; Carlotta Petrina Museum; and Hotel El Jardin.
