Grab your bicycle and get ready for the toughest gravel challenge in the state of Texas. El Camino Gravel Challenge is back again for its 10th year on September 20-22, 2024, starting and finishing in old town Palestine, TX. Riders will have their choice of route length from 25 miles, 105 miles, and the longest 205 miles. Head over to https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/Palestine/ElCamino205 to register. Registration cost varies by race length, early bird rates apply until August 31, 2024. All routes provide varied terrain. There are narrow primitive bridges, pot holes, animals, loose gravel and other hazards. There are short hills – some fairly steep – coming out of creeks and such. Riders must use caution and care when crossing creeks – speed is not always your friend in those situations, but discretion is.
