Texas Arts & Crafts Fair

Sep 26, 2020 - Sep 27, 2020

The Texas State Arts and Crafts Fair will be Sept. 26-27, 2020 on the grounds of the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram, with art, music and food trucks. The official state arts festival is a juried art show, featuring a wide range of arts and crafts by Texas residents, as well as related educational activities for children and adults. More than 120 artists, exhibitors, performers and demonstrators will entertain and enlighten the public in festival tents in the area surrounding Stonehenge II. Ceramics, photography, woodworking and painting of all types will share the tents with jewelry makers, basket makers, metal workers, weavers and fiber artists. Kids and adults also will be treated to interactive demonstrations in the “Art Exploration Zone,” by artists and crafters, including the Fredericksburg Spinning Guild, Clifton Fifer’s toys and storytelling, Doug Garey’s blacksmithing and Doug Baum and the Texas Camel Corps. The “Art Exploration Zone” in the patio and lawn outside the Duncan-McAshan Art Gallery, will allow fairgoers to watch artists and craftspeople work, featuring an educational, interactive area for children to make their own art. Our youngest fairgoers will enjoy honing their own artistic skills and come away with a physical souvenir they’ve crafted themselves. Music also will be a big part of the fair, with local and regional performers entertaining fairgoers on the Stonehenge Stage.
