The Abilene Zoo will celebrate spring with an amazing line-up of animal handlers and their animal guests who will give twice-daily outdoor shows for guests.  On a stage set along Nelson Lake catch a show to meet the animals and snag a picture with:  Yogi the Two-toed Sloth Bruce the Warthog Scarlett the African Crested Porcupine Bayou the American Alligator Guests also can enjoy Wild Encounters with Abilene's own animal care specialists during the Wild Days at the Zoo.  Meet Macho to Rhino, Edward the Giraffe, a flamboyance of Flamingos, and Mario the Capybara at keeper chats throughout the day. Spring is always a great time to stroll the zoological gardens. Grab lunch at the Watering Hole or rent a swan paddle boat to take a whirl around Zoo Lake.
