Meet one of the top production designers in cinema, award-winning movie and TV designer Nelson Coates. A graduate of Abilene High School and Abilene Christian University, Coates spent most of this year designing for the film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's 'In the Heights.' He earned the Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Award for 'Crazy Rich Asians.' The evening will begin with an elegant dinner and drinks at Prosperity Bank and a photo op with Nelson. Then you will move to the Paramount Theatre, where Nelson will share big screen moments from his career and have a Q&A with Kaye Price-Hawkins, ACAC board member and organizer of this event. The ACAC will present Nelson with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The evening concludes with desserts on the Paramount stage inspired by Nelson’s hit movies.
