Galveston Island Shrimp Festival

The Galveston Island Wild Texas Shrimp Festival is held annually at the Historic Strand District in Texas. One of the highlights of this event is the Shrimp Gumbo Cook-Off, which features over 60 participating teams of both local restaurant and just-for-fun contenders. There’s plenty of other delicious food so if seafood’s not your fare, you’ll still find something you’ll enjoy. Also featured at this event is live music and entertainment, a 5k run along Galveston’s Seawall, and the Lil’ Shrimps Parade. With activities for both adults and kids, this Shrimp Festival is a fun event for the whole family!
