The City of Deer Park invites you to its annual Tree Lighting Spectacular. Strap on your jingle bells and come on down to the Municipal Court/Theater building located at 1302 Center Street on Thursday, November 17 for this joyful family celebration. The merriments begin at 5:30 PM and will include a beautiful light display, live performances from Jr. Art Park Players REACTION, Art Park Singers and many other entertainers. The Deer Park Historical Committee along with Visit Deer Park Tourism Division will be handing out holiday inspired goodie bags to all families that attend. On the hayrides, storytellers will be telling “Twas a Night Before Christmas” to all who participate. Special appearances from Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Mrs. Clause and several Disney characters. Take photos in front of a life-sized postcard while enjoying delicious hot chocolate and cookies from Mrs. Clause. Don't forget to drop your Christmas wish letter off in our very own Santa's Mailbox. The elves pick up and deliver the letters to the North Pole by midnight each night.
