Your African-Safari, Texas Style

In the rolling hills of Central Texas lies a ranch like no other.

To borrow from a famous song, it is where the “buffalo roam and the deer and antelope play.”

Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, recognized by the State of Texas as a Land Heritage Property, features over 400 acres of rolling hills, creek beds, where safari trekkers can witness the behavior of over 500 animals from 40 exotic, native and endangered animal species worldwide.

Get your safari hat—and join us for an adventure of a lifetime—African-safari, Texas-style!

In the comfort of your vehicle, the wild comes to you.

Relish in the excitement and awe of some of the world’s most amazing creatures.

Aoudad. Kudu. American Bison. Kangaroo. African Crowned Crane.  Eland. The Watusi, with its amazing 6-foot horns.

With the help of the Ranch guidebook, which showcases the animals’ unique features, safari trekkers often challenge each other to a game of “name that animal.”

Llamas and Damaraland Zebras are friendly and hungry, and will grace your vehicle from all sides, some smiling for photos.

Emu, Rhea and the Ostrich meander the landscape, beckoning a handful of feed.  Ostriches perform a flamboyant mating ritual dance—which is an amazing sight, should you be fortunate to catch them in the act.

The healthy, open, free-roaming space (and the extra handfuls of treats from visitors) fosters thriving animal populations at the ranch. A drive through the park in the spring, visitors can catch glimpses of young zebras, llamas, antelope and rheas, among other species.   And with such an array of species, it is not uncommon to see babies most any time of the year.

Animals are wildly fun to watch, so be sure to bring your camera to capture the unique moments. Share photos and videos with fellow safari trekkers at www.wildliferanchtexas.com and your family adventure may go down in the Ranch’s hall of fame.
