Since 1979, Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark held Amusement Today's "World's Best Water Park" title for an astonishing 26 straight years, from 1999 through 2024 — the longest winning streak in the award's history — before Universal's Volcano Bay finally ended the run in 2025. Schlitterbahn East is home to the world's longest waterpark ride, The Falls. Over the course of 3,600 feet, you'll get the grand tour of the eastside neighborhoods Tubenbach, Surfenburg, and Blastenhoff. The ride isn't just for sightseeing, though. You'll tumble over rapids, crash through waves, and dodge waterfalls along the way.

Head over to Surfenburg to hang ten on the Boogie Bahn, the world's first ever inland surfing ride. Looking for more of an adrenaline rush? Check out Dragon's Revenge nearby. It's the world's first water coaster. And speaking of water coasters, the newest headline ride for the 2026 season is Wasserbahn Racers, a three-lane, face-first mat racing slide. If this is too tame for your tastes, hop on the Master Blaster in Blastenhoff. Repeatedly voted the Best U.S. Water Ride, this supersized coaster has its ups and downs over the six-story, 1000-foot course. You'll plunge three stories right out of the gate only to be blasted back up on this gravity-defying ride. Gravity ultimately wins as you twist, turn, and come back to earth again. These rides, rivers, slides, and chutes in both Schlitterbahn East and West just scratch the surface. In fact, 70-plus acres of attractions mean there's something for everyone!
