Wonderland of Lights
Thousands of white lights illuminate the 1901 Harrison County Courthouse and downtown Marshall during Wonderland of Lights every holiday season. Following tradition, attendees can enjoy carriage rides, a holiday train ride, carousel rides, a spin around the outdoor ice rink and get facetime with the big guy himself in Santa’s Village. The festival kicks off end of November and runs through end of December.


FireAnt Festival    
Each fall the annual FireAnt Festival, held by the Marshall Chamber of Commerce, takes place in historic Downtown Marshall. The FireAnt Festival Features over 100 vendors, festival food, live performances, crazy contests and family outdoor favorites such as the Tour de FireAnt, Box Car Races, 5K & Kids K and Bubble Party. The festival represents the best of small-town, festival fun!


East Texas Taco Fest     
Tacos! Tacos! Tacos! And who doesn’t like a great taco? The annual East Texas Taco Fest is hosted by the Marshall News Messenger and salsas into Downtown Marshall in late summer. Live music fills the air as attendees enjoy great food and events like the Chihuahua races, jalapeño eating contest, Lucha Libre wrestling match, washer tournament and car show.


Health Fest 
Join Health Fest in downtown Marshall and be inspired by world renowned speakers, champion athletes, and top chefs. Meet best-selling authors and have a book signed on your way to a vegan wine tasting. Learn to make delicious new recipes at celebrity chef-led cooking demos. The weekend also features a wide variety of optional fitness activities such as zumba, yoga, Pilates, and a 5k/10k race.


Second Saturday + Twilight Tunes 
From March to November, the second Saturday of each month is extra special in Downtown Marshall. The event combines food, shopping, art, music and classic cars. The Rusty Lug Nutz car Club hosts the car show beginning at 5 pm and Twilight Tunes musical entertainment kicks off in Telegraph park at 7pm.


Voices: The Heartland Concert + Dixieland on the Square 
Immerse yourself in a four day musical experience. Voices: The Heartland Concert, held each September, showcases the diversity of country western music performers backed by the symphony and musicians under a gorgeous tent in the heart of downtown Marshall. Dine, drink and enjoy good company and music at Voices. Dixie Land on the Square begins at 11:30 am and is free and open to the public. The event is a partnership of the Marshall Regional Arts Council and the Marshall Symphony Orchestra.


Market on the Square 
Find your handful of happiness at Market on the Square! The season kicks off in May and runs through mid-September every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7 am till noon. Join us at Telegraph Park for homemade goodness, heartfelt handicrafts, live music, and of course contests and crafts. A variety of children’s $1 crafts are presented by the Main Street Program at Market on the Square each Second Saturday of the month from 9-11 am.


Josey Ranch Reunion & Jr Worlds Barrel Race
For more than 50 years Marshall has served as home to world champions R.E. and Martha Josey and their legendary Josey Ranch. Operating the longest running rodeo school in the country, the Joseys have instructed well over 200,000 students both at the ranch and around the world in their storied careers. Josey ranch host several major world class events each year including the Josey Reunion Barrel Race and the Josey Jr. World Barrel Race. As these yearly events are a week a part in May, Marshall is flooded with cowboys and cowgirls over a ten day period.


Caddo Kennel Club Dog Show
The Caddo Kennel Club of Texas presents the AKC Dog Show each year at the Marshall City Arena. Dogs from across the country compete for best in show. The event is free and open to the public.


Marshall Police Officers Association Rodeo  
This annual benefit rodeo features bareback bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling and team roping at the Marshall City Arena.


Cookin’ At the Creek BBQ Cook Off  
Annual BBQ cook off at Bear Creek Smokehouse General Store, supporting the United Way. Delicious BBQ, live music and fun will be had! Friday nights event is adults only but Saturday is the annual Family Fun Day at the Creek!


Bear Creek Pasture Party  
The annual Bear Creek Pasture Party supporting the Hannah House features always features a nationally known country artist, great music and as always exceptional food!
